Steven began his career at a large national defense firm where his practice focused primarily on government, torts, and catastrophic loss. He represented local governments and law enforcement officers in Section 1983 litigation and in a wide range of state law claims. He also represented privately held businesses and publicly traded companies in cases involving premises liability, transportation, negligent security, and wrongful death. Since joining Ken Nugent, P.C., Steven has devoted his practice to representing individuals and their families who have been harmed by the negligent and wrongful conduct of others.

Steven received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he was a member of the Mercer Law Review and served on the Executive Board of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society.

As an undergraduate at Florida Atlantic University, Steven was nominated by his peers to serve as Speaker of the House for the Student Government House of Representatives. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, attending sporting events, and traveling.
